amback owned me

down 36% on bad news. i have a pretty significant holding in this one too. I'm debating doubling down at this price. it WAS $90 before the martgage fall out. I got down to $1.49 average, but now i'm down 50% again after today. hrm... what to do....

ouch. Reminds me of my HIG holdings. Maybe time to cut ties and get out before it crashes ala Enron?

today seems to be holding flat. only down .01. i'm going to hold through. not worth it to sell at this point. i'm sure there will be a short run up soon

looks like it warned it may file bk. i would consider buying at $.60 just to average down. just try to figure out a good point where you can get to if you average down. try to make it so you break even at .80 or .85

Well, it hasn't stopped trading, so thats good news.

looks like they are holding off. Ambac unlikely to be seized by regulators - report | Markets | Markets News | Reuters

so, that's a bit of good news. i've got a few months to play this right.

There was a bit of shorting in the morning and it ended just a bit below open. likely see the same thing tomorrow.
