bought some stocks
my IRA finally has enough cash in it (i've only been on it for 2 months now) to actually do something with it, and the 4.94% i was getting in 'cash holdings' isn't doing shit for me (hell, paypal pays better) so i took my 700 bucks i've raised into it since feb 1st, and bought some stocks.
50 Shares of SIRI (Sirius) 2 shares of GS (Goldman Sachs) 2 shares of JCG (J Crew group) I have like 50 bucks left over after trade fees (19.99 a pop, fucking fidelity....) but i have no choice on this cash, as my work chose it, and they match my contribution. can't really pull it out either. so, i pulled it out of cash, and put it into a couple stocks. cramer talked about GS and JCG last week, and well, I don't know wtf i'm doing, lol, so i figured i'd give them a shot. The GS stocks are pricey, over 200 a pop at purcahse time. the j crews ones were 37. siri was 3.40 each. so, we'll see what happens. if i lose 700 bucks, so be it, but i'm trying new things here  <!-- Start of Yahoo! sirius is a very touchy stock right now. i'm still up in the air about it.
i'm about to check out sharebuilder.com. they do dollar cost averaging and i'm about to see what they can do for me. |

woohoo, GS is up and so is JCG. siris dropped 2 cents.
so, i'm up about $5 after one day :P |
