Default average # of stocks in your portfolio?

On average, how many positions do you normally keep in your portfolio?

For me its usually between 4-9 stocks at a given time. I'm usually a long when it comes to my play investing.

Right now:
C in at .97
F in at 2.52
SIRI in at .06
SPNG in at .205
HIG in at 5.32

i currently have 17.

6 i'm long for life in and simply don't trade. i'm in these for the dividend more than their price. i'm about even lifetime before facotring in the dividends:
- FSNGX mutual fund
- BMY
- ORCL
- HMC
- FITB
- V

I also have a few 'bad choices' that i simply don't feel its even woth it to sell, so they sit there, down 60-80% lol. if these ever rebound to something worth selling, i'll consider it. until then, they sit there collecting dust.
-SNEN
-IMPM.pk
-GCOM
-FLEX
-JCG

The remaining ones are the ones i trade and play with
-SIRI in at .09. took profits and ran on all but 1000 shares last week when it spiked 70's. Likely won't be getting back into this one for a while
- IFSL.pk - in at .0035 @30,000. waiting for this to hit 5 cents
- QASP.pk sold 15 shares of visa today to pick up a solid 45k share position here at .021.
- ABK - still chasing the dreams on this one. it spikes all the time and dips all the time. was an $80 stock before the crash. i have a solid just shy of 2k shares in it ~$2. cost averaged it down a bunch of times. holding and hoping on this one.
CTIC - in at 1.81. novemeber is supposed to be a drug release that everyones been waiting for. should see some solid movement then.
SPNG - in at .07.... only because i bought 10k more at .11. my first 5000 was in at .006. ha! should've bought more up front. right now, my #1 money maker behind FITB (got in around $2 and rode it up to $10)

I don't know about you guys, but I find it more thrilling to go after the penney stocks based on sheer amount (1000's of shares vs ~100's). I have a shit ton of HIG when I was buying ESP, but averaged at $92 bucks a share I'll be holding out for a while. I should have sold when I left there May '07 it went into the 100's.

Oh well.

penny stocks are fun and unpredictable.

every stock has it's purpose though. growth, dividends, speculation, etc. it's best to have a balance of all of them.

playing pennies is fun. nothing better than a .001 gain earning you $100 for the day

I think i have a pretty good mix.

i got my holds with the dividends that are solid companies
i got my play pinks
i got some bad choices....

in the end, i'm up more than i thought i would be this year.
