Wow, the day I quit driving and move to college is the day gas gets cheaper than it was when I started driving in 04. Hooray for bullshit!

it was $59 a barrel last I looked... and prices are hovering around 2.39/2.49/2.65 for 87/89/93 respectively around here. I can't complain.
I do however, remember topping off at 89 cents a gallon for the cheap stuff, and saying "naw, i don't need 93" cuz it was $1.03 or something. lol |

haha, the cheapest I remember gas ever being was around 99c when I pumped for my mom at like 11. And when it went up to $1.59 or so in 2001 my parents were outraged, said if it hit $2 a gallon the government would do something about it lmao.

for gas maybe... but their economies suck.
live in the north, make your money, retire to the south... or kentucky.

The trick is to go someplace where your dollar goes a long way. Thats why florida is so popular for retirees... cheap to live, nice warm weather most the time.

plus they don't have a state income tax. that's why a lot of wealthy people and pro athletes have homes there.

Yeah, and the rest of the time it's rapid fire hurricanes one after another. I guess if you aren't a New Orleans-grade dumbass and you actually get the hell out when they say "A hurricane is coming" you'll be fine. That's what really got me about that whole thing, the media was saying for a WHOLE WEEK ahead of time, "The largest hurricane in the history of mankind is headed for YOUR HOUSE. If you are smart, you will GET THE HELL OUT OF DODGE." What did the people do? Sat on their porches sipping lemonade, "I done lived here ma whole life and there ain't nobody gonna tell me I gotta leave!" *cut ahead to 2 weeks later* "Why isn't the government down here feeding us?!!!"
