Detroit is full of crime, drugs, carjackings, poor schools, no tax base (very little Tax base) people leaving the city by the thousands each year, few jobs, run down homes, poor roads. 50% of the cars on the road (In Detroit) have no insurance and the police won't enforce the law. The people ask for help and the USA Government says "NO". Why?<br />

because the US Govt (ie Military) didn't destroy that city and it wasn't a natural disaster.
It was the people of detroit who ALLOWED that to happen and still allow it to happen to this day. Instead of asking for money, start a community group and take back your city street by street with law enforcement. If law enforcement wont do their jobs, contact the FBI and notify them of a derliction of duty for each and every one. There are so many avenues for americans to take back their troubled cities, but nobody wants to do the work, they want someone else to do it. Its not the surroundings, its the people. |

Good question, containing a little mistake: The USA is not really helping Iraq rebuild either.
Vice President Cheney and the rest of the gang of hooligans are too busy looting Iraqi oil to have time for engagement in any other less important stuff! |
