Default New health care plan by Cali Gov?

California's Governor has proposed a health care reform in attempt to guarantee ALL Californians health insurance. The plan will cost $14 billion and includes the following (key points):

- Collecting up to 4% payroll tax on all employers with 2 or more employees.
- ALL Californians (working/non-working) will be required to spend up to 6% of their gross income on health coverage.
- All Californians are required by law to buy health insurance, failure to do so will result in fines.
- Those under the poverty level will have access to no-cost Medi-Cal.

Any thoughts?
Just trying to emulate Canada but they'll never be as good.

Edit: I'm sorry if the truth hurts.

My thoughts:

You are being robbed by insurance....

Did you know that insurances (companies) receive HUGE discounts?

Did you know that a 20/80 policy is actually only 20/20?

The consumer is responsible for the full 20% plus co-pays and deductibles and restrictions to use it, while the insurances are laughing all the way to the bank because they negotiate or have "set-in-place" discounts already applied. As high as 65%

Eliminate the underwriters, the co-pays & deductibles and the solution is upon us.
The solution 28 million Americans are enjoying right now.
Many people believe doctors are in co-horts wth pharmaceutical companies which is a Federal Violation. The fact is doctors inflate costs for care alone & they don't even get paid until 90 to 120 days later, what they actually want from the insurance, after the fact. (visit/appt)
Why?
Paperwork going through 3 to 5 people's hands/desks for adjusting and approving.
Give these discounts direct to the consumer from the physicians, eliminating the underwriters, & the problem is solved.
Over 28 Million Americans are enjoying a DMPO which is Discount Medical Plan Organizations through several member companies. They have been around since the early 90's yet today are the solution to the crisis. Available in California as well.
++++++++++++++++++++++++
They have become so popular not only is corporate America jumping in, so are Medical Universities'& Professors providing courses for their students.
The consumer simply pays a discounted fee at time of service instead of $350 to $900+ a month that contains restrictions, co-pays & deductibles.
