Default How are the politicians rationalizing this so called "Dream Act?"?

Is it fair for citizens to be forced to pay out of state tuition at colleges but not illegals? It is fair for citizens to go to jail for using false ID's, but illegals will not only not be fined or go to jail, they will be rewarded with citizenship and tax payer paid tuition? It is fair for illegal immigrants to not have to pay fines for not showing up for court but instead get their college paid for and be made citizens? How can the lawmakers pick a select group who have broken our laws and reward them for it, while the tax payer pays their costs? If illegal immigrants don't have to pay out of state tuition, citizens should not be required to pay it either. If illegals are not prosecuted for using false identification, citizens should not be either. Does anybody see any logic to this "Dream Act?"

The fact that any child born to illegal immigrants on US soil is technically a US citizen according to the Constitution.

None of what they are proposing is fair to the legal citizens of this great country.

They want to reward illegal behavior instead of punish the illegal criminal aliens.

Awful that they are getting better treatment than the true citizens.

No, I do not. It's a joke and it should be stopped.

I know what you are saying.
I say : let the ones that let them stay pay for them.
Let the politicians keep them in their homes.
LETS VOTE the SCUMBAGS OUT of office.
This is a serious matter and our Gov. ain't doing a thing about it.

The only logic I see are more voters for the Democrats in 2008 and more tuition money for a useless degree in a service economy.

We should all refuse to pay our taxes next year, then once we are criminals we might get a reward.

The Nightmare Amnesty Act of 2007 is a ploy by the Dimocrats to gain the votes of Latinos. They don't care that American citizens get screwed by this law, they just want the votes of La Raza and the millions of illegal aliens who will become Dimocrats when they get citizenship. What a disgusting, unpatriotic bunch of losers in Congress who support this bill!

You can go to http://www.numbersusa/actionbuffet to send a free fax to your Congress people to protest this amnesty act.

The last version incorporated across the board waivers for those with criminal background or lack of 'good moral character' on 'family unity' or 'humanitarian' grounds. It also covered anyone up to age 30 and would give them 6 more years here legally to actually go to school or go to the military for 2 years. I opposed it for those reasons. The new version I can't find anywhere, but did find this:
