A local college in a metropolitan area desires to increase its evening school offerings of business related courses such as marketing, accounting, finance, and management. who are the target market customers (students) for these courses?<br />

Well as an employee at a Office of enrollment development at a community college,I would say older professionals because they are the ones usually at night school because they work during the day,and they are probaly looking to increase their employabilityby taking those types of classes.

Defining your target market should be based on the niche which you feel you would achieve optimum success. In this case, it will be the students who are willing to take the course during the night. It will not only be limited to working students or those who will simply take the course to add up to their knowledge level and are not "regular students".
Positioning such an offering would be focused on the advantages of having to take the course during the night as they can do other things during the day. This broad target market will enable the local college not to alienate regular college students who do intend to take the course during the night. |
