I am getting EA job to CEO.attractive thing is CEO is good human and business segement is emerging, but i am an MBA with 5 yrs experience of multitasking{marketing not sales+event management+research}. I am already struggling to find a place in corporate world. Would this profile let me shift to marketing later or will i get stuck as EA. what is career graph of EA?<br />

In my experience being an EA opens doors to lots of positions. In my career I have started as EA a few times and have always been rapidly escalated to positions of much greater authority and responsiblity.
You also have the opportunity to see a great deal in that position and get a better understanding of business in general and your business specifically. You also make contact with many people who may come to value your skills and abilities and offer you other positions. If you are struggling to find a place, EA is a good place to get a foothold and use it as a springboard. Best of luck, whatever youj decide. |

With more contact you will be intact. But actual fact as a EA career graph is very rough.

In the corporate world, there is a saying that goes, "Once an Admin, always an Admin." Translated, it simply means that it might be tough to get out of administrative type of work to maneuver into other fields. Not always. Use your MBA to prove that you have what it takes, education and experience, to do more, in addition to administrative work. Show them that you can and are willing to go the extra mile. Offer to help out in other departments as long as your work load permits it. Have a little bit more confidence in yourself, your skills and abilities; confidence always shines through, you know. I was in administrative work for a few years, and thought that I would never get out. Today, I am a successful Pharmaceutical Sales Representative and living a dream!
Good luck! |
