sainsburys bank are offering a really good rate at the moment? or maybe you should consider an isa?

compare savings rates on there

I use Cahoot, whilst they are not the very best for rates their website is easy to use and they are a reliable large brand.

Generally, if you need access to your money the interest rates won't be that good. If you would be happy to tie it up for the minimum of a year then you get better rates. You should always use your tax free ISA allowance first though.....
