i live at home and go to college full time. I used to have a part time job which i had to give up due to a panic disorder. I had to resit my final year so i get no real financial help and the work load is hefty. My parents have no money to spare what so ever. I spent all my money from my savings and had to take up a credit card to survive on preety much, travel and food. Now the bank is demanding payments and i was never informed that they would add on so much interest. The amount i owe back has now tripled and im feeling almost suicidal at my situation. My mum had been awful opening my bank letters, following me ,shouting at me and when i go to get a job she shouts at me more that i dont care about my studies.I told her why i left my old work and she says im "making up the panic disorder so i can be lazy" I cant win. What can i do with the bank and my mother. I feel like leaving education since it just seems to have got me into dept.<br />

Do you have any type of insurance assistance, if so find a counselor ASAP. The school should have one you can see for free, that will help with the anxiety and they can help with advice on your mother. I would go see the finacial director at your school. They may be able to help.
As far as your mother, tell her you need her advice, love and help, not yelling. |

You should try school part time and work part time, no so much stress (panic) and then your mom can't say you giving up, since she can't finacially assist you what does she really expect, if they don't have money to spare then they know how living now-a-days is. You need to do both, work and school. Lots of woman do it. I am! Just find somewhere in between don't give up either, yes school will take longer, but debt will take even longer! Trust me there! Good luck

Ring the Consumer Credit Councilling Service 08001381111, they will help you with advice on your debt.
Go to the doctor about the panic attacks, he will be able to help you with advice on how to overcome them, also try the no more panic website listed below, but for goodness sake take control, you must sort these things out as they are not going to go away by themsleves, the credit card company can be held at bay, the CCCs will tell you how, the reason the interest rates are so high is because you havnt got a job so you are a high risk, but you can come to an agreement with them, as long as you dont get another card and quit spending on this one, as for your mother, if she can see you are trying to help yourself she may stop nagging you so much, tell her what you told us, and see the doctor about those panic attacks! |

Call the bank and see if you can make more managable payments. File bankruptcy.
